Link(TM)

Gracenote Link is a comprehensive content management system that seamlessly aggregates and enables delivery of rich third-party content directly related to music as it is playing. By providing application developers and device makers the ability to serve targeted content, Gracenote enables its partners to generate new revenue streams while fundamentally improving the music listening experience.

Today, many applications, devices, and service providers are forced to match, integrate, and combine data from various sources to present a targeted, relevant content experience to end-users during music playback. Gracenote Link simplifies and streamlines the integration and delivery of music-related content and commerce opportunities from disparate sources.

Key Benefits

  • Utilizes Gracenote MusicID the most comprehensive audio recognition solution in the world and leverages existing content partnerships
  • A single Link lookup replaces multiple content source queries, making content delivery faster and more accurate to the end user
  • Solution is scalable and robust
  • Provides a more compelling user experience around audio consumption
  • Enables additional revenue streams

How It Works
Everything starts with recognition - Link is built on top of MusicID, Gracenote's music recognition technology. Once the music is identified, the application assigns a unique identifier to request a "Link ID" based on artist, album, track, or video DVD. This Link ID is then used by the application to request third-party, related content licensed by vendors.
